Daniel Berger Edges Out Scottie Scheffler for 2024 RBC Heritage Title

Berger Claims Victory in Thriller at Harbour Town Golf Links

Fitzpatrick's Reign Ends as American Triumphs in South Carolina

HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. (April 20, 2024) - After a gripping final round at the Harbour Town Golf Links, Daniel Berger emerged victorious at the 2024 RBC Heritage. The American golfer held off a determined charge from Scottie Scheffler to secure his first victory of the season.

Berger began the day with a one-shot advantage over Scheffler, but the reigning Masters champion put pressure on him early with a flawless front nine. Berger, however, remained unfazed, responding with a string of birdies to extend his lead.

As the back nine unfolded, Scheffler made a valiant effort to catch up, sinking a dramatic eagle on the par-5 15th hole. However, Berger's steady play proved too much to overcome, as he carded a final-round 68 to finish with a four-stroke victory.

Berger's victory marks his second RBC Heritage title, having previously won the event in 2021. The American golfer has now cemented himself as a force to be reckoned with on the PGA Tour, with this win solidifying his status as one of the top players in the world.

Defending champion Matt Fitzpatrick finished in a tie for 12th place as he failed to defend his title. The Englishman struggled to find his rhythm throughout the week and was unable to mount a serious challenge.

The RBC Heritage is one of the most prestigious events on the PGA Tour and is known for its challenging layout and picturesque setting. The tournament is played at the Harbour Town Golf Links, which is renowned for its narrow fairways and challenging greens.
